Aegis Force: The Scorian War

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to review our game -- Aegis Force: The Scorian War -- and considering streaming, reporting on, or creating content on it in any way.

With Aegis Force, we have created something totally unique in that it merges together three main game features rarely -- if ever --seen in one game before:

  1. 2.5d-hd pixel art style: We selected an art style that thrilled us with the possibilities of what we could accomplish with it. The world of Aegis Force is built with pixel art 2d characters, that seamlessly fit into a pixel art 3D world; the result is a diorama like world to explore that is reminiscent of the 16 and 32-bit golden era of RPGs, but with a modern touch. It also features a fully revolving 3D camera that players can use to see different angles of this beautiful world and customize their viewpoint, as well as allowing us to create some truly cinematic effects and cutscenes.
  2. Turn-based tactical combat on a grid: The battle mode in Aegis Force is made up of strategic battles where the player moves and maneuvers their party members around on a chess-like grid, using physical attacks, spells, and team-up tech attacks to take out the enemy and win the battle. No stagnant characters standing in one place while you mash a button to hurry up and get the battle over with -- we want each of our battles to make the player think and approach it like solving a puzzle, emerging with the thrill of victory.
  3. Full world and town exploration: In Aegis Force, exploration and discovery are encouraged as the player can maneuver his party in exploration mode all over the world map and points of interest -- just as in the classic RPGs that inspired us such as Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, etc. There are no random battles in Aegis Force, just ones built into the story and ones that the player can choose to engage in, allowing them to freely explore as they choose. Merging this exploration style with tactial combat is not common in this genre as TRPGs usually focus mainly on cutscenes -- and not exploration and interactions -- to tell their stories.

We hope that these and other unique features of our game (including a deep and engaging character-driven story) will appeal to gamers all over, and bring interested parties to your content on it.

Campaign Overview

As of now, we are only running a demo campaign until we have more content to show. If you are willing to cover our game at this demo stage, we are happy to offer you a full game key once the game is close to release; you would only need to verify the coverage that you gave. Thank you, and we are happy to work with you in any way to help us spread the word about a game that we feel is unique and we are very passionate about!

Game Overview

Two countries — one empowered by magic, the other by technology — have been at war for 100 years with no end in sight… but nobody seems to remember how it began. Will you fight to discover the truth?

Join Callon Roth, Orvus Magnaric, and Vedette Kairn, three childhood friends-turned-soldiers in this 2.5D Strategy RPG adventure as they recruit a varied cast of 15+ warriors, thieves, mages, engineers, and more to plan heists, battle monsters, uncover ancient weapons, foil dark plots, and unlock the mysteries of a continent caught in a century-long struggle with the heart of your favorite stories from the 16 and 32-bit eras.

KEY FEATURES

  • Tactical victory or agonizing defeat… The choice is yours — As Callon, use the powers of a Tactimagus to make every move count. Utilize a myriad of spells, attacks, and abilities across your ever-expanding team to forge your victory across dozens of increasingly complex strategic battles.

  • A hand-created HD-2D world full of fascinating creatures — Lead your characters through a unique world full of races, creatures, and monstrosities as they journey down unexpected paths.
