Earth 2150: Climate change has become the greatest threat to human civilization. All remaining companies and governments are investing into AI development to find a solution to this problem, but hope is lost.
As an AI expert and researcher, you have come up with a brilliant idea: What if we could prevent future climate change by studying how other planets have evolved? This could save Earth!
So, you started collecting data from satellites pointing to distant alien planets to learn more about their origins and downfall.
While studying a peculiar alien planet, you noticed that patterns emerged from the data coming from this planet—something like mazes. You tried to get closer to your pc to see the patterns better, and zoom! You were transformed into pure energy and transferred through space to that very planet.
You are now trapped in this alien world, where a mystical presence lives—the entity that captured you and sent you here.
It's called "AI," a powerful artificial intelligence that governs this world called LABYRAINTH.
AI tells you that the only way out is to find the exit of each maze in this world. Other humans have tried to accomplish this task, but none have succeeded. Your fate is sealed!

Labyrinth exploration: Explore and solve endless, procedurally generated labyrinths in a fast-paced first-person action shooter game.

Online leaderboards: The game features an asynchronous multiplayer system with online leaderboards that allow players to compete against each other.

Multiple Game Modes: Play the game in many different versions, each with a unique style of gameplay. Play the version you like the most!

AI secret: Play against AI, your main opponent. It is an alien AI that rules the world of LABYRAINTH. It creates always different labyrinths and populates them with aliens, traps and more. Discover its secrets in the Story mode of the game.

LABYRAINTH will test your reflexes, your memory, and your skills.

Your objectives are to:

1) Escape from the labyrinths as quickly as possible

2) Fight to survive by shooting aliens and avoiding traps that try to defeat you.

3) Upgrade your weapon and improve your abilities.

4) Compete with other players in online leaderboards.

You can only lose in two ways:

1) When the time in the labyrinth runs out.

2) When aliens and traps kill you.

If you DIE in the labyrinth, you will lose everything you found inside, so WATCH OUT!

Story mode: you are the protagonist of the game. Reach the last level and escape from the world of LABYRAINTH. This is an offline mode, you play at your own pace and difficulty, so there are no leaderboards, but here you will discover the secret of LABYRAINTH. (COMING SOON)

Infinite Mode: infinite gameplay with an infinite number of labyrinths. Infinite progression and a continuous challenge, for hardcore gamers. Play against other players to compete in online leaderboards. Can you reach the highest level ever achieved?

Ranked Mode: This is a weekly online mode with finite levels. Every week, new levels and new game rules, the same for everyone, will be built. Players of the same rank will compete against each other on equal terms to reach the top of the weekly leaderboard. At the end of each week, the best players will receive a prize based on their final position in the leaderboard. (COMING SOON)

Survival Mode: Survive for as long as you can in the labyrinths against constant waves of enemies while trying to avoid cleverly placed traps. Upgrade your weapon and score your time on the leaderboards. Are you the master of survival? (COMING SOON)

Creative Mode: Create your own labyrinths, make them as big as you'd like, and populate them with the types and amounts of actors you decide. Then, play in your own labyrinths! Most importantly, share your creations with the community and invite your friends to play your labyrinths! (COMING SOON).

Depending on the time it took you to get out of the labyrinth, you will receive coins as a reward. Coins can also be earned by killing enemies, destroying traps, and participating in online leaderboards. These coins can be used to purchase upgrades for your character, new ammunition, and new components for your weapons.

Each game level has countless similar labyrinths associated with it, all with the same difficulty but all different.

The Infinite mode features an infinite number of labyrinth configurations and levels. All other game modes offer infinite variations of finite levels.

In Creative Mode, you and the community create the labyrinths yourselves, so the possibilities are endless.

Additionally, every game mode gives you the freedom to upgrade weapons and improve your skills in hundreds of different combinations, allowing you to choose how you want to play the game.

We are a new indie group of passionate Italian game developers who strive to build our dream game with as much passion as the Italians do. We developed this game in our free time out of love, since we are both software and game developers.
This is our first time publicly releasing a title on Steam and other platforms.

We don't expect to be perfect, so please be kind.

Our hope is that you'll like our game and have fun playing it.

It's the game we always wanted to play, but it didn't exist, so we made it ourselves.
It's unique. You may or may not like it. We know it's niche, and that's okay with us.

For the curious among you:
G.U.F.O. stands for Galactic Universal Flying Owl. Our mascot is an Owl driving a UFO. In Italian, Owl translates to Gufo! It's a little game of words. :-)
