Passion’s free Steam demo is available now, featuring a complete first chapter with approximately 3–5 hours of gameplay, a town to explore, and three dungeons.

Early Access launches October 31, 2026. The demo contains all content available at the initial Early Access launch, with additional chapters planned throughout development.

Creators and press are welcome to livestream, record gameplay, and publish impressions or reviews of the demo immediately. There is no coverage embargo on the public demo.

A Strange Story in a Stranger Town

Passion is a party-based JRPG inspired by the 16-bit era, blending noir mystery, deadpan comedy, and a colorful, eccentric world.

Step into the shoes of a private investigator and explore a town filled with suspicious characters, unusual problems, and distractions worth pursuing. Follow the investigation—or take a detour to uncover secrets, find equipment, and see what the locals are getting up to.

Created by a solo developer, Passion pairs concise dialogue with exploration and a deep combat system.

Classic JRPG Combat, With More Control

Passion uses an Active Time Battle system that gives you time to consider your next move.

When a character is ready to act, the battle pauses. Issue a command immediately, or hold their action and let the other characters’ gauges fill. Switch between ready characters to choose who acts first and coordinate your party’s abilities.

Combat rewards:

• Status effects that matter

• Elemental strengths and weaknesses

• Character-specific abilities and party synergy

• Careful timing and action management

• Equipment choices and resource management

Knowing your enemy and bringing the right tools can matter as much as your level.

Explore, Investigate, and Get Distracted

Meet the townspeople, investigate suspicious situations, and venture into three distinct dungeons.

Optional activities, hidden equipment, puzzles, and discoveries reward players who wander off the obvious path. There’s room to experiment with your party and pursue the parts of town that catch your attention.
