Terrahold
Terrahold is a strategy sandbox about building and defending a colony on a living procedural planet.
Each run begins with a teleporter, a single drone, and a small reserve of resources. From there, you explore the map, establish resource outposts, expand a shared power grid, and build toward the energy output required to open a permanent tunnel home.
The main threat is not a sequence of scripted enemy waves. The planet itself reacts to your expansion. Alien plants spread into infrastructure, spiders gather in the fog, eggs hatch new creatures, and spore colonies make nearby vegetation increasingly dangerous.
What makes Terrahold distinctive
- Procedurally generated maps with mountains, lava, resources, and alien life
- Base building and a shared colony-wide power grid
- Robots with partial autonomy and direct control when needed
- A reactive ecosystem instead of conventional scripted waves
- Terraforming that can remove mountains and fill lava lakes
- Bridges for opening new routes across lava
- Force fields that protect entire sections of the base by consuming grid energy
- Exploration, fog of war, and radar
- Progression from solar power to thorium and nuclear energy
- One clear objective: defend the teleporter and generate enough power to open the link
Terrahold is currently scheduled for release in November 2026. A playable demo is available on Steam.
It may be a good fit for creators covering base-building games, strategy sandboxes, colony sims, survival strategy, and games built around territorial pressure and hostile environments.
