The Spectrum Retreat: Redux
Check In to The Penrose Hotel
The Spectrum Retreat: Redux is an atmospheric first-person puzzle thriller set inside The Penrose - an art-deco hotel cut off from the outside world. Unsettlingly quiet corridors make its endlessly attentive android staff seem all the more uncanny. Guided by the voice of a mysterious stranger, you begin to search for the truth of why you’re there.
Your progress hinges on exploring the hotel and completing a series of logic and spatial challenges. You’ll absorb and swap colours to slip through security barriers, redirect energy, and attempt to rethink the rules of each space.
Beneath the hotel's facade lies a story of memory, grief and loss - one that reckons with a family failed by systems meant to protect them. It's a prescient narrative that resonates even more sharply today than it did on release.
